It hasn’t changed much from its original design but that’s probably because this iconic, handy to have Multivax cleaner has always been one of the best on the market. They were such a revelation I think just about everyone bought a Vax carpet washer when they first came out. I love my Multivax so much I can’t imagine ever not having one.

Top Tip: Don’t forget to check the both the cone filter and the motor filter regularly especially if you have furry pets!
Durability and reliability
The Vax 6131T multifunction cleaner has been built to last. The cannister itself is very sturdy and the attachments are all solid. The carrying handle for carting it around is also very strong. The wheels do look a little small in comparison to the actual size of the machine but they are well attached to the base.
Useful tools
The bigger the selection of tools, the more cleaning jobs can be tackled. The Vax 6131T 3-in-1 Multivax comes with five different heads and wash tools; a large combination floor head for hoovering carpets and hard surfaces, a large fibreflow wash head for washing carpets, a small upholstery wash tool for sofas and chairs, a small dusting brush (great for sucking up cobwebs!), and a small crevice tool for getting into awkward places.

It can be a bit fiddly attaching the carpet solution tube to the main hose at first but the secret is to leave a little slack when clipping it on.
